The Challenge

Clarion realised there were spending too much time processing invoices. The invoices, submitted by the company’s network of freelance British Sign Language interpreters, was holding them back. They came to us with the idea to ensure the process became more efficient for their business.

Our Solution

To aid Clarion, we undertook research into the brand to develop a strong understanding of their business needs. Therefore, we could deliver a fully functional and user-friendly solution. The result was a bespoke online application that synchronised with their back-office Sage system.

After logging into their account on the portal, freelancers are greeted with a billing form. Once this is completed, they can easily attach supplementary documents such as scanned receipts, and submit their invoice to Clarion for approval.

Sage automatically downloads this invoice, saving time and eliminating the risk of keying errors. Clarion administrators can then review and accept, which triggers payment processing. Alternatively, they can reject the application, so it is returned to the freelancer with amendment requests. This enabled them to streamline the process and spend time on other aspects of the business.

“I was very happy with my involvement in the project and having the ability to continually input after the project began was very beneficial as I was learning about our own requirements as this was a completely new concept.”

Helen Clery, Head of Finance at Clarion
